The two met as freshmen at the University of Virginia where they joined the same sorority, and moved to New York to work in fashion after graduation.

Sarah and Beth's expertise may be in buying, but they've entered the designing arena with an exciting new Target collaboration. They'll be available at Target stores and on Target.

Watch to peep the covetable collection, and read on to learn more about the successful fashion entrepreneurs and their awesome Target gig. Sarah Easley: We're big fans and shoppers of Target. So many of our friends like Thakoon and Jason Wu had such wonderful experiences working with Target, and designing is something that we've always wanted to do.

It came together quite organically. Through the CFDA we met some Target ecutives, and then they came up with this new concept and invited us last summer to jump in. We didn't even think about it, we just jumped right in! Beth Buccini: Basically what we wanted to do was bring downtown cool to America. We say that SoHo isn't just a place, it's an attitude. It was absolutely fantastic for us to be able to put together this kit that we think every woman needs for how to be hip and cool and fun and enjoy fashion.

Sarah: The collection is very much our personal style, an extension of how we get dressed, very joyfully, every day. It's an ercise in print-making, in more is more. Speaking of more, we ended up designing styles! It's a stylist kit on steroids. There's no bad combination of silhouettes; we designed it to mix and match. Beth: This is the first ever collection that had our name on it, so it was just absolutely thrilling.

We loved taking on this role and could not have had more fun. It really unleashed an inner designer in both of us. Sarah: It's very much a similar skill to editing collections. We just edited our thoughts of what we want to wear. As mothers and business owners, we have complicated fashion needs, where you're literally at the book fair one minute and at Milk Studios for a fashion presentation the next! We wanted something real, but something that stretches you out of the ordinary.

Beth: And we couldn't get over the pricing! It was just absolutely fantastic for us to be able to bring this high-end aesthetic to such a great price point for everybody. It was wonderful to see what the Target team could help us pull together. Sarah: Beth and I have been best friends since college. We went to the University of Virginia, and we met in college dorms and have been best friends ever since.

We moved to New York at the same time, and Beth was working as a fashion editor and I was in fashion luxury wholesale. We thought we knew everything. We were 26 or 27, and we opened at 96 Greene St. We grew up with our designers.
